One of the activities that the kids really love is heading out for a walk to area parks and exploring the grounds. The places below all have plenty of space to explore, with streams, lakes, sticks, rocks, sand, waterfalls, etc. Check out our list of top local parks great for walking and exploring!

Bayne Park, Harding
Picturesque park with a small lake and stream. There are a series of small bridges throughout the park that are fun to walk over too. Lots of space to walk on the path, explore, picnic and ice skate in the winter.

Loantaka Brook Reservation, Chatham
Very popular path that stretches all the way to Morristown. Paved path is great for walking with the stroller, and there is a small lake that has a nice field/picnic area next to it to explore.

Giralda Farms, Chatham
There are two paths at this park: the exterior loop that wraps all the way around the office park, and then the Giralda Preserve path. The exterior loop is paved and great for stroller walking. The interior preserve area has a gravel path and a big lawn area that is awesome for the kids to explore and play with rocks, sticks, sand, etc.
